The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, today visited the day center Cánovas Martínez Foundation of The Union, whose officials handed a TV for enjoyment of its users, paid for by the management team of the Ministry.
He was accompanied by the managing director of the Institute of Social Action Murciano, Isabel Sola, the Director General of Pensions, Assessment and Inclusion Programs, John Brown, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé.
The center for the disabled, located on the road from Roche, was transferred to the Autonomous Community of the City of La Union last year.
The team consists of ten employees serving 43 users aged between 18 and 66, both from the same municipality unionense as Cartagena.
Foundation students receive occupational therapy modules carpentry, pottery and greenhouses, from from 9:00 to 17:00 hours, and they are provided transportation and room service.
