The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Barnabas, and the Mayor of Cartagena, Pilar Barreiro, a meeting held this morning for further work on issues of common action in both municipalities.
First, the former mayors of neighboring cities addressed the Mining Park project, managed by the Sierra Minera Tourist Consortium.
This consortium is composed of the municipalities of La Union and Cartagena, and the Ministry of Culture of the Autonomous Community.
During the meeting, addressed the integration of tourism Mining Park in the package tour of Cartagena Puerto de Culturas.
Similarly, it was revealed that the presentation at the National Mining Park will be held in Madrid on May 21 in a ceremony that will include the collaboration of the Municipality of the capital.
The opening of the Mining Park will take place early next summer.
Moreover, under the cooperation agreement signed in June 2009 between the International Festival of Cante de las Minas and the Sea of Music, both events will be present at promotional events each with the purpose of making the County Cartagena referring cultural tourism during the summer.
Among the actions under this collaboration agreement is the inclusion of the official logos of the two festivals in the respective posters advertising and sale of marquees.
Furthermore, in the next edition of the Sea of Music is scheduled for a flamenco gala entitled The Sea Mining.
Finally, Francisco Bernabé said Pilar Barreiro has assured that it will go next summer to L International Festival of Cante de las Minas.
