This morning has been submitted to the Mayor of our City's program for the 150th birthday celebrations of our town, which was formally established, independently of Cartagena, on January 1, 1860 with the name "Villa of the Garbanzal. "
The event has also involved the presentation of the poster for this event, the work of the great local artist Esteban Bernal, and a brilliant way the main characteristics that define this century of life in our town.
The Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has encouraged all citizens to participate in all acts to be performed over the next year, which also will be other important landmarks for local history, as are 50 anniversary of the International Festival of Cante de las Minas and the opening of the Mining Park of La Union.
Also, our first mayor added that, beyond the programming that is presented here, we are working intensively on new and important events that contribute to further extol the good name of La Union.
