The Minister of Social Policy, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana today opened the new Child Care Point (IAP) from Roche, La Union, with capacity for 18 children, aged between 12 and 36 months.
The project involves an investment of 174,881 euros, of which the regional government contributes 131,161 euros while the local council has contributed the remaining $ 43,720 and the sale of land.
In principle, the center will be open from September to June from 08:00 until 14:00 hours and may be adapted to emerging needs in order to support families and facilitate the reconciliation of working life.
Roche is a rapidly expanding parish in the municipality of La Union, whose high birth rate required to create such services to facilitate access of women to work because of its proximity to La Manga, where there is a growing demand for employment .
In this county have been created during the current parliamentary seats 262 subsidized child care in four centers, three of which are running, it represents an investment by the region of 1,217,049 euros.
It should also be remembered that the subsidized places in the Region amounted to 8,218 in 86 CAIs and PAIs newly built and 24 renovated and equipped.
Moreover, since last June with Pequecheques aid benefit to 1,930 families who have received a total of 686,520 euros.
The amount foreseen for the third quarter of 2009 amounted to 144,607 and the first half of next year, to 831,357 euros.
In the opening ceremony, the Minister was accompanied by Director General of Family and Children, Laura Muñoz, and the mayor of La Union, Francisco Martín Barnabas.
