Municipal technical services have completed drafting the improvement of municipal sports facilities of La Union, which soon will pass the Local Government Board for approval and proceed to tender.
The works include a budget of more than 89,000 euros, which will be fully funded by the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia, and provides for the refurbishment of the entire input area, improved outdoor sports court and the stands Annex, the completion of the exterior of the football field 7 and improvement of costumes for the area.
On the other hand, under the new State Fund for 2010, intends to build two paddle courts and to reform the existing two tennis courts, which would add third converting the use of existing outdoor sports court between them, thus having three new fields in which this sport in good condition.
The Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, has affected the substantial improvement that will experience the municipal sports facilities over the coming months as these actions must be added the new indoor sports hall being built at Portman and Roche, reforms already undertaken in the Career Pavilion Irun, the currently ongoing in the sports hall and the forthcoming opening of the indoor heated pool, which will make the Union in a municipality of reference for the high level of quality of its sporting facilities.
