The Governing Board of the City of La Union has provisionally awarded the renovation and improvement of Portman Avenue, in the section between the junction of the cemetery and the entrance to the High Street.
The works planned along the route kilometer of the road, including the renewal of sidewalks, new pavement, construction of a roundabout at the junction of the Lazaretto, the burial of the promenade of El Duende, planting new palm trees and in short, a substantial renovation and improvement of road safety and aesthetics of this important access to our site.
The Mayor has stressed the great importance of this action, which complements the recently constructed roundabout at the junction of the cemetery and will serve as a prelude to the future redevelopment of the main street, thus giving a new modern air to traditionally the most important input in our city.
The works have cost 300,000 euros, VAT included, and a lead time of 6 months, having been awarded the commercial bitumen, SA.
