This morning it was delivered to our Mayor, at the headquarters of the Delegation of the Government in Murcia, the cooperation agreement signed between the City of La Union and the Ministry of Interior for the cooperation of local police and Civil Guard safety.
The agreement provides, inter alia, exchange of information between the two bodies, the mutual access to respective databases, joint police communications, coordination of offices and citizen complaints, the cooperation between police agencies and the empowerment of Local Security Board.
The agreement has an initial term of three years, subject to annual extensions, and will be under the control of a Joint Monitoring Committee.
Barnabas has stressed the importance of this agreement in order to improve the safety of the residents of La Union.
It also pointed out that, thanks to the city hall is completed rehabilitation in the barracks of the Guardia Civil, with a total of 21 agents of the Guardia Civil, and will immediately begin construction on the ground floor of the building The Progress (Old Town Hall) of the new headquarters of the local police with 34 counts and effective.
