In the morning took place in our town hall meeting with Mrs. Jane Brown, Director General of Housing and Land Institute of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning of the Region of Murcia, which was attended by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the Town Planning Councillor, Carlos Martinez and Council Member of Social Services, Mary Hermogenes, to discuss improvements to develop social housing in our town, owned by the Autonomous Community.
In particular the actions to perform, under the so called Repair Plan will be developed in groups of social housing sites along the Mary Cegarra Institute in La Union, and on the street Martín Pérez Saura, Roche, which together account for about 50 flats.
The project involves the refurbishment and improvement of these buildings and is valued at 200,000 euros fully funded by the Autonomous Community.
The forecast is to tender the works immediately in order to allow work to begin before year end.
The Mayor has expressed his joy for the grant, which will allow significantly improve the lives of 50 families in our town, at the same time giving new jobs through public works.
