The Civil Guard station has increased its workforce by 50 percent over the past five years
This afternoon was inaugurated on Civil Guard barracks in La Union, after the work of remodeling.
The event was chaired by the secretary general of the Government Commission, José Camarasa, and the local mayor, Francisco Bernabé.
The building improvement works have affected government departments, the customer service areas and the residences of the members of the Guardia Civil.
The secretary general has stressed that they pose a higher level of security and comfort for the Civil Guards and users of La Union.
The budget for the actions that have been carried out is about 400,000 euros.
Of these, 210.00 euros from the European Social Fund and are handled by the Government of Spain, 140,000 have been contributed by the city and 58,000 euros are also the Government of Spain through its contributions of Plan E.
José Camarasa has expressed its appreciation for the cooperation shown by the City Council of the Union at all times, even bringing a part of the total funding and pointed out the efforts of the entire corporation as a whole, both current and former.
Finally, the secretary general of the Government Commission has stated that the efforts of the Government of Spain is continuing to improve the safety of everyone, and pointed out that the Civil Guard troops in the Union are currently 21 agents, 50 percent more than five years ago, and also has increased over 90 percent at this time throughout the 5 th Company.
