In the morning we have proceeded by our Mayor, Francisco Barnabas, and the Minister of Education, Training and Employment, Sotoca Constantine, the laying of the foundation stone of the new Children's Pavilion and Herrerías Public Primary School in Union.
The facility, whose work has already begun, developed within the school compound itself, occupying part of the patio.
The new building will consist of two floors (ground and first), have a total of 6 classrooms and an area of approximately 500 square meters.
The new units, which have an overall investment budget of 600,000 € uros have a lead time of 7 months, with both scheduled for completion by spring 2010.
The Mayor has expressed his great satisfaction for this new achievement, as is providing the core of all the facilities and features you need to meet with the highest quality, the demands of parents and teachers, who have long demanded this improvement came facilities.
The ceremony was attended also by members of the Governing Body of our City, General Director of Schools in the Region of Murcia, María José Jiménez, teachers, parents and college students, and representatives of the Platform for Public Education in La Union.
