The Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, ratified in the morning, before the Court of Instruction No. 3 of Cartagena, the complaint filed at the time, before the SEPRONA of the Guardia Civil, on the occasion of the damage found in the mining facilities Rajao Cabezo.
According to information obtained from the Consistory, the events have their origin in a probable military exercises conducted by the Military Emergency Unit (UME) of the Army, which brought the partial destruction of some of the walls, basins and sinks of the existing facilities there.
The Mayor has expressed a willingness to refine how many responsibilities have been incurred, in order to proceed with the repair and rehabilitation of the damaged remains from those responsible for this situation.
It has also reiterated its willingness to continue in the path of recovering our rich mining heritage, a true symbol of identity unionenses, La Union and the Sierra.
The Cabezo Rajao is listed as a Cultural, in the category of Protected Historic Site.
