In the morning we have proceeded by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and Social Policy Adviser, Women and Migration, Joaquín Bascuñana, the laying of the foundation stone of the new Center for Child Care (Nursery Municipal) of La Union.
The facility, whose work has already begun, are situated in the Plaza Councilman José Torrente, with street facade of El Rojo El Alpargatero Garbanzal on a plot of 5,000 square meters of municipal property.
The new units, which have an overall investment budget of 1,300,000 € uros have a lead time of 16 months, with both expected to be completed by late 2010.
The new center will have a total of 12 classrooms, as well as children's canteen and classrooms crib, which will in future have a continuous opening hours of morning and evening to allow parents a better balance family and professional life.
The Mayor has expressed his great satisfaction for this new achievement, as is shortly to leave the old facilities of the existing nursery, now totally outdated in quantity (there are only eight classes) and quality of their equipment to pass have a public service, modern and meets the needs of unionenses in the XXI century.
The ceremony was also attended by members of the Governing Body of our City Council, the Secretary-General, Fernando Mateo, and the Director General of Family and Children, Laura Muñoz, of the Ministry of Social Policy, Women and Migration in the Region of Murcia .
The works, which include the construction of a playground open to the public in the area of the plot does not take up the nursery, are being implemented by the company Eals, SL
