The Mayor of The Union held a meeting with Secretary General, Maria Luisa Lopez, and the Director General of Tourist Infrastructure, Marina Garcia, at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Region of Murcia, in order to deal different investments pending execution in the future theme park of the Sierra Minera.
The result of this meeting was the commitment of the regional executive for the City to subsidize the purchase of a tourist train that will allow park visitors to move easily through it.
The vehicle, with an approximate cost of 147,000 € uros will be built making it much like the old trains that were used in the Sierra, with trucks instead of cars and other typical elements of the mining industry.
Also, it has agreed to subsidize, with contributions from INFO and the Directorate General of Mines, the electrification of the entire complex for an amount of € 97,000 other uros, acting also essential for the proper functioning of all mining facilities Century XIX that are intended to rehabilitate its value cultural tourism.
The Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, expressed his satisfaction and gratitude to the heads of the Ministries of Culture and Tourism and Universities, and Research Company on behalf of La Union, since these grants will be practically closed the chapter on investment Mining Park.
Currently are developing the fitting of the access road by 33 and service areas and parking facilities, laundry and mineral, with completion expected in the coming months so that the space can be open to public.
