Convened by the Mayor of La Union Francisco Barnabas took place at the headquarters of the Mayor of the City Council meeting of the Subcommittee for Monitoring Regeneration Portman Bay.
The meeting was attended, besides our first mayor, the Chief of the Coastal Authority, Francisca Baraza, the Head of the Department of Industry, Francisco Faraco, Deputy Director General of Mines of the Autonomous Community, Rafael Sanchez Medrano and Councilman Planning , Carlos Martinez.
The meeting has been aimed at the preparation of the next meeting of the Monitoring Commission, due later this month and which will be attended by senior representatives of the Ministry of Environment and Rural and Marine, D.
Juan Carlos Martin Fragueiro, Secretary General of the Sea, and Ms. Alicia Paz Antolin, Director of Sustainability and Sea Coast
Among other issues, has discussed the development of Environmental Impact Assessment project, which was approved in July 2008 with completion expected imminently.
Also there was a dialogue on the possible involvement of the owners of the saw in the financing of works and on the spaces of the mountain range that should be excluded from a subsequent urbanization process under its protection as a Cultural or be at risk effects of mining.
The Subcommittee has been located by a further meeting on September 21 in Murcia.
