The Plenum of the Association of South East Social Services, comprising the municipalities of La Union, Torre Pacheco and Fuente Alamo, agreed at yesterday, the dissolution of this organization.
The decision will mean that in the near future, each municipality provides social services directly and independently without having to visit the headquarters located in Torre Pacheco.
The Mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, said that "the dissolution of the Commonwealth is an achievement, because it means a boost to social services in each municipality."
"The staffing of social services of the Union will increase to 11 workers, due to better redeployment."
On the other hand, note that the City of La Union tender, in short, the refurbishment of the Old Slaughterhouse, which will become home to the local Social Services.
The project, funded by the Autonomous Community, will cost € 302,000.
