The Governing Council of the Autonomous Region approved on 12 June, the procurement of works for the implementation of the proposed tertiary treatment in wastewater treatment plants in La Union, with an investment of 2.7 billion euros.
With this initiative, the Ministry of Agriculture and Water aims to achieve optimum yields and improve the quality of treated water in the filter, with a grade higher than that under Community law, achieving the highest quality water.
The Region of Murcia is Spain's leading community water reuse.
All municipalities are equipped with scrubbers, which recovers more than 100 hectometres of water per year, which are intended primarily to agriculture
