The Ministry of Public Works and Planning has approved an increase in shipments of the bus line that connects Union and Portman, from two to four daily services, thus meeting the request by the City of La Union to the Autonomous Community .
The managing director of the Public Transport in the Region of Murcia, Jose Guillen, said that "increasing the number of shipments of this line that connects the Union Portman improve communications between the two populations, giving a better service to users and encouraging the use of public transport in the municipality. "
The mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, stressed "the importance of increasing the number of services because it satisfies a just claim historical and neighborhood groups."
New schedules
Departures from La Union on weekdays will be at 7:30, 10:30, 14:30 and 20:30 and from Portman at 7.45, 10:45, 14:45 and 20:45 hours.
Moreover, during holidays departures from La Union will be held at 7:15 am, 10:30 am, 14:30 and 20:15 hours, while from Portman will be held at 7:45 PM, 11:00, 15:00 and 20:45 hours.
The new service, which will run 365 days a year, will begin shortly, following the recent signing of an extension of it between the managing director of the Public Transport Authority, José Guillén, the mayor's Union, Francisco Bernabé, and the representative of the concessionaire, Francisco García.
