The Illustrious Brotherhood of the Holy Christ of Miners held a dinner presided over by Big Brother, Jose Lopez, and the Mayor of La Unión, Bernabe Francisco, where they have released several points of interest relating to the upcoming Easter Union.
The poster for the Semana Santa 2009 de La Union has been the work of the Local Police Sergeant in the Union, Daniel Salomé Martínez Aznar, who has given so selflessly work for the forthcoming local Easter.
The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, Big Brother has given the Illustrious Confraternity of the Holy Christ of Miners, Jose Lopez, the amount of 20,000 euros under municipal subsidies.
Similarly, it has awarded diplomas to the brothers distinguished by the presidents of the various groups.
The brothers honorees are:
- Group of Nuestro Padre Jesus Nazareno, Jose Garcia Carrillo.
- Grouping of the Magdalene: Amalia Jiménez Rodríguez.
- Grouping of the Blessed Virgin of Solitude: Joaquina Galindo Conesa.
- Group of San Juan Bautista, José Martín Miralles.
- Grouping of the Blessed Virgin of the Rosary in their Sorrowful Mysteries: Andrew Cazorla González.
- Grouping of the Blessed Virgin of Charity: José Robles Saldańa.
- Grouping of the Holy Christ of Miners and Entombment of Christ: Matthew Bernardo Garcia.
Moreover, the Illustrious Confraternity of the Holy Christ of Miners, a proposal from the Big Brother-President of the Brotherhood, has agreed to appoint a Year Cofrade Campillo Juan Antonio Paredes, under both the merits entered Holy Week as Grouping of Christ.
He has delivered the diploma of this distinction, the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé.
Similarly, the Mayor has received from the Illustrious Confraternity of the Holy Christ of Miners Honorable Mention and logo in gold.
Holy Week in La Union, and rooted almost unique because of its close relationship with local mining tradition, includes the procession of Cristo de los Mineros, on Holy Thursday, declared of Regional Tourist Interest, and the Holy Burial Procession in Friday.
The procession of Holy Thursday also hosts an event that helps to link Easter with the local culture, specifically the song, through the celebration of National Competition Bolts.
The presentation Poster Easter 2009 was celebrated in the halls of the Villa Mayor of La Union with a large influx of brothers and supporters of Holy Week unionense.
