The Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, the Town Planning Councillor, Carlos Martinez, Councilman Young, Antonio Liarte, Finance and Councilwoman Maria Dolores Barrett, accompanied by representatives of the Fundación Sierra Minera, and Managing Director of the Institute Housing and Land of the Ministry of Public Works and Planning, Jane Brown, have held a meeting in the framework of the Monitoring Committee of the Comprehensive Rehabilitation of the District of San Gil.
During the meeting, defined the next steps to be carried out in the second phase of the project.
Action in the environment of the district for comprehensive rehabilitation will cost 300,000 euros from the agreement between the City of La Union, the Ministry of Public Works and Housing Ministry.
This new investment will have to add it to 2,100,000 euros has already provided the Autonomous Region for the rehabilitation of that neighborhood.
The district already has twelve new homes rehabilitated, which were delivered to tenants last December.
Moreover, within the cooperation agreement signed between the city of La Union and the Housing and Land Institute, a total of 41 houses of public promotion will be rehabilitated at a cost of 200,000 euros.
27, to rehabilitate houses are located in the San Gabriel street of La Union (the institute Cegarra Mary Salcedo), while the other 14 are located at Calle Martín Pérez Saura Roche.
