The ceremony took place in the Plenary Hall of the City of La Union and was chaired by the Mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez and the President of the Assembly Local Red Cross, Leonor Garcia.
The Mayor took the opportunity to thank all the volunteers who work daily in La Union Red Cross work they do every day selflessly.
Among the winners were the unionense businessman Jose Luis Cabanillas Bakery Garbanzal and Director of La Caixa in La Union, Pedro Pablo Martinez, who through his Foundation has purchased a monitor-defibrillator for Red Cross ambulance.
Another of the winners was Manuel Parrado Gomez subscriber partner of the Red Cross for fifty years.
Furthermore Pedro Lopez announced that municipal budgets for 2016, has been allocated the amount of 30,000 euros for the purchase of a new ambulance.
