The unionense village of Portman will host the Ninth European Powerlifting Championships, from 11 to 13 September.

The tournament will begin at 15:00 pm on Friday, with an opening ceremony at the sports facilities of Portman, which will be attended by the Mayor of La Union, Pedro Lopez Milan.

In the event attended by more than sixty male and female athletes from Britain, Holland, Italy, Denmark, Finland, Belgium, Norway and Spain.

The unionense mayor has shown a great satisfaction for choosing Portman as the venue for the Championship at the European level as well as the tourist and economic boost it means for our municipality.
