On Saturday April 18th, the City of La Union and several municipal associations will start for the third time "Solidarity March by the Sierra Minera", a project that will allow us to enjoy our natural and cultural heritage , while contributing directly to help those most in need.
You are invited to participate in it all citizens of the Union and elsewhere who want to join the company.
The initiative involves making a hiker march through the Sierra Minera, between La Union and Portman, crossing the legendary Road 33 connecting both locations across the massif, and will allow you to enjoy the superb ride to admire all environmental richness of our mountains, besides contemplating the monumental remains of the numerous mines in it abound.
And the integral part consist of all participants who wish may make, before leaving, a bag with products of nonperishable food that will be donated to the food bank managing the municipal social services and to be distributed among those most needed.
A change of the bag, by the City to serve a receipt ticket and enjoy complimentary refreshments of food and drink to reach Portman, all without any additional cost to those who have contributed will be delivered.
They can also join the initiative and enjoy the refreshments those wishing to deliver his bag of food directly at Portman, but were unable to participate in the march.
Departure will be at 10:30 am from the main gate of the Old Public Market of La Union, in the Plaza Joaquín Costa, and the place of arrival at Portman and appetizer celebration of solidarity will be the Paseo de Colón in this town maritime.
All participants attending the output in time to avoid overcrowding and delays in delivering bags of food and sharing guards are requested.
To return to La Union from Portman have a free bus will transport participants who wish shifts at various times.
The march will be conducted by experts on the Sierra, which will show us along the path of all the attractions the Sierra treasures.
