The Cabinet has approved a proposal of the Ministry of Agriculture and Water, the procurement of works for the construction of a general collector of sanitation in La Union.
The works involve an investment of 1,798,787 euros, financed 80 percent by the Cohesion Fund of the European Union, and the rest by Community funds.
The construction of the main sewage sanitation, leading the wastewater from the street San Gil to the treatment plant of the municipality, will solve the problems in the operation of the current network, due to insufficient stretch that produces floods Wastewater when rain events occur.
In addition, it will provide the district Contrast connection to the network of general sanitation.
The new infrastructure, which is contracted by open procedure and has a deadline of six months, replaces the main sewer that crosses a plot of particular crop and diverts about 80 percent of the flow of wastewater from the population.
This project is included in the General Plan of cleansing and purifying of the Region of Murcia, which has allowed 99 percent of the regional population has a sewage treatment services and recover all the waters over hundred cubic hectometres.
