The Mayor of La Union and Executive Chairman of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Julio Garcia, held a meeting with the President of the Catholic University San Antonio de Murcia (UCAM), José Luis Mendoza, who commented with keys Festival del Cante de las Minas this year.
Our mayor welcomed the great achievements that is reaping the Festival, and has said that "We are thrilled to collaborate with the UCAM because we believe it is a great partner to take our cultural projects."
Garcia informed the maintained Mendoza meeting, the poster of this edition number 55 will be designed by the artist FCG, who is also Director of the International Chair in Arts and Heritage Gabarron "of the Catholic University of Murcia. The Mayor also announced the President of the UCAM the singer Estrella Morente, Director of the International Flamencology, will act as herald.
Also during the visit, the first unionense authority Mendoza wanted to show the Gold Medal for Merit in Fine Arts received last week the International Festival of Cante de las Minas, given the strong commitment of collaboration between the two institutions .
