The City of La Union has welcomed this morning a meeting which was attended by the Director General of Educational Planning and Human Resources, Enrique Ujaldón, our Mayor, Julio Garcia, the Councillor for Education, Rosa Pagan, and the Directors of all centers Childhood and Primary Education of the municipality.
In this workshop have been discussed various issues related to education in the town and are rated the realities and needs of schools, committing the Director General on improving those questions.
In addition, Ujaldón has informed representatives of schools in the municipality for consideration the possibility that the town is relying on the establishment of a school zone and only start in 39 municipalities in our region that would allow parents to choose freely choose the school they want equal.
All in search of increasing the% existing parents whose children are enrolled in first option, currently at 93% and looking at the proximity to the center the main criterion.
The proposal has been highly appreciated and accepted unanimously by all the educational centers of the municipality.
