This morning was held in the House Pinion signing the Cooperation Agreement between the City of La Union and the Abraham Project Association.
Our Mayor, Julio García, and the President of the Association, Nuria García, are rated positively continue working together in the town.
The Abraham Project Association works on the separate collection of waste textiles, footwear and toys and aims to:
Contribute to the development and improvement of measures for the preservation of the environment.
Enhance economic and industrial development of the Region of Murcia encouraging the creation of recycling companies and creating jobs.
Transforming them into a resource that provide host housing, training, employment, development aid, assistance and support to groups at risk or social exclusion.
Efforts developed from Abraham Project Partnership with these residues are aimed mostly at increasing the life thereof, either through reuse, recovery as by-products or by-products for other industries.
In this line, will develop the following actions in the municipality:
Development of educational, social and occupational programs.
Humanitarian actions: Donation of these wastes to people in need, mainly derived from the Department of Social Services.
Referral to textile recycling companies integrated in the Spanish Association of Social Solidarity Economy, to ensure the separation and classification of waste for reuse or generation of products for other industries.
