The Directorate General of Public Safety and Emergency, continue to promote public safety in the municipality of La Union, through the aid Regional Public Safety Plan and the Plan Monitoring and Rescue in Playas and Rescue at Sea Region Murcia (Ballad Plan).
So he communicated the Director General of Emergency Luis Gestoso, our Mayor, Julio Garcia, during a working meeting in Murcia, which was also attended by Deputy Mayor for Public Safety and Planning, Fernando Alcaraz and Salvador Martínez, respectively and experts from the Directorate General, and which tried various issues of interest to the municipality regarding public safety, Local Police and Civil Protection, among others.
Similarly, Gestoso informed our mayor that his Department is taking steps to install a switchboard in the town of 112 in police custody in order to connect the municipality through a new computer program that represents a technological breakthrough in unionenses benefit of all.
During the meeting also our representatives have made known to Gestoso the need to strengthen the means available to Civil Protection in the town, particularly in regard to the acquisition of an ATV that will improve the work our volunteers do every day in the town.
