This school was opened in 1964 by the then Mayor of La Union Esteban Bernal Velasco accompanied by the first civilian, military and education authorities of the Region of Murcia.

Today the CP "Alfonso X El Sabio" is a landmark in public education in our town welcoming hundreds of students to guide them and train them in their personal and academic growth.

From City of La Union commend the educational community college to commemorate the golden anniversary of noted schools oldest municipality in whose classrooms were formed thousands of students throughout his long activity.
