The Councillor for Tourism of the Union, Laura Vincent, participates with representatives of the Port Authority of Cartagena in the International Cruise Summit, the premier event of the cruise industry in Spain, which celebrates its fourth year in Madrid.
On this occasion, the Union accompanies the Port of Cartagena and attending this important meeting to present tourism in the municipality and to the audience and promote our city as a destination for organized tours when ships call at the port .
This event strengthens the position of Spain in the cruise industry, an industry that continues to grow worldwide and in 2014 moved to over 22 million passengers.
This forum also discusses the status of an industry that in 2013, only in Spain, generated 1,230 million of direct spending and over 25,000 jobs, including direct, indirect and induced.
