The Mountain Club "Roller Masters" of La Union and Mountain Bike Club "MTB Mar Menor, La Union", in collaboration with the City of La Union, have turned our town into the capital of the great national career and mountain biking on Sunday, during the joint celebration of both sports events organized in their respective disciplines
The seventh edition of the traditional Mountain Race "Union City", organized annually by the Trail Masters Club Roller not disappoint anyone and broke all expectations of success deposited therein.
A fresh and sunny Sunday morning was the perfect setting for the 400 runners registered in both organized tours, a race of 14 miles and another 24 kms., Grade the test demanding course along the Sierra Minera, with continuous ups and downs that led to 1400 meters elevation changes along the route, all of which was a bonus to the intrinsic difficulty of the test itself had added hardness.
Meanwhile, the bicycle race attracted more than 200 registered participants, and in this case, the journey through the Sierra Minera was 50 km. The March in Montain Bike "Union City" in its first edition, was also a success by the large number of people who enjoyed this sport.
Participants of both races agreed to highlight the power and beauty of the landscapes of the mountains and the great organization of events prepared by the Mountain Club "Roller Masters Trail" and Mountain Bike Club "MTB Minor-Sea The Union ".
For the smooth conduct of the tests involved in organizational work over a hundred volunteers besides Civil, Local Police and Red Cross La Union Protection.
The awards ceremony took place next to the finish line, in front of the main facade of the Old Public Market and it was attended by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, and several councilors Team Municipal Government and the President Federation of Mountain Rivers Luis Alberto Quirós.
