National Flamenco Festival Callosa de Segura, in its first edition, has awarded International Singing Festival Mines with its highest award, the "Flamenco Cabal" award, given the exemplary career and contribution made for the dissemination and promotion of flamenco by our competition.
Our Mayor and CEO of the Foundation Cante de las Minas, Francisco Bernabé, stressed the importance of this recognition because it comes from the land where "The Red Alpargatero" undisputed patriarch of miners and contained songs born without which would be impossible to understand the universal dimension that has now reached our flamenco event, which undoubtedly is a great pride and satisfaction for all unionenses in particular and for flamenco lovers in general.
The award ceremony will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2014, at 18.00, at the House of Culture "Reina Sofía" Callosa de Segura.
