The Real Bullfighting Federation of Spain has failed the XXI National Trophies "Cossio" in the 2014 season, at the meeting of its Board of Directors held on Sunday October 19.
The award has been ruled in favor of the Foundation Cante de las Minas de La Unión occurs in the category "Best International Labor through the festival" for his contribution to the promotion of bullfighting internationally, combining art of flamenco and bullfighting.
Among other awards include the following categories: Matador de Toros, Miguel Angel Perera;
Revelation Matador Juan del Álamo;
Best Livestock, Victoriano del Río;
Best Bullfighter Jose Garrido;
Exemplary career, Santiago Castro "Luguillano";
Amateur flagship, Maria Eloisa Cabrera Carmona, Deputy Mayor of Roquetas de Mar (Almería).
The Executive President of the Foundation Cante de las Minas and La Union Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, wishes to thank the Royal Bullfighting Federation Spain this recognition, which confirms the work for bullfighting that is being developed in the event since unionense years.
Francisco Bernabé recalled that the Cante de las Minas Foundation supports unconditionally the world of bullfighting as an unmistakable symbol of Spanish culture, as it is with the flamenco.
"Both Barnabas says artistic-expressions are part of the history of our country, and around the world represent the very essence of our traditions and our culture."
This conviction is what has led the Foundation Cante de las Minas explicitly defend bullfighting in all its expressions.
A defense that is demonstrated with initiatives like the big show "Dollhouse Flamenca" released this year 2014 within the 54 Festival del Cante de las Minas.
