The Hall of Pinion House has welcomed this morning's meeting of the General Assembly of the Federation of Associations of Women in Rural Areas of the Region of Murcia (AFAMMER), which this year has selected the Union as the locality which held its annual meeting.
The event was chaired by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, by the President, Carmen English, and the Councillor for Social Policy, Women and Family, Rosa Pagan, who were accompanied by mayors of La Union and Cartagena, as well as numerous representatives of women's groups in rural areas of our region.
Prior to the convening of the Assembly, which have addressed various projects and initiatives to improve the situation of women in these settings, character have also delivered several certificates of recognition to the work done by several associates.
The day was completed with a visit to the museums and monuments of the town, and the Mining Park and the Mina Group Vicenta.
