This weekend took place the Festival of El Barrio Garbanzal in honor of the patron thereof, and on Monday and ending with Mass in honor of Our Lady of Sorrows, and the subsequent procession of the patron saint through the streets their neighborhood, accompanied by marches played by the musical group La Union.
These acts will this afternoon finale to the Festival of Garbanzal 2014, being unanimously rated by locals as one of the best in recent memory in the history of this place.
Three consecutive days of gay parades, lively night street parties, a bustling and colorful Medieval Market and a fun fair, have served to cheer the thousands of people who fled during this time to enjoy the festivities.
They noted in particular two moving events for the neighborhood.
On one hand, the opening of the new church steeple clock, which was made at the end of the ceremonies of the day on Friday, which was officiated by the Pastor of The Garbanzal, Luis Miguel Garcia.
At the municipal level, the City Council was represented by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, who attended with a large representation of the Municipal Government Team.
On the other hand, the act of Tribute to Honor Residents of the neighborhood, sense and emotional moment that took place last night at the Plaza del Cura Ginés and which paid tribute to outstanding garbanzaleños.
