On Wednesday, August 13, the singer Estrella Morente is the star of the Festival del Cante de las Minas.
A 12'00 pm in the Auditorium of the City of La Union, the artist will be honored at the Institutional Act, receiving his well deserved "Castillete Gold".
Thus, Estrella Morente, one of the most awarded and lauded singers, adds further recognition for the excellent work of dissemination of Spanish culture.
Moments earlier, Estrella Morente, as principal of Flamencology Foundation of Cante de las Minas and UCAM, close the academic year of the School of Art Flamenco La Union.
All students of the Fourth Promotion Courses Singing, Guitar, Dance and Percussion, receive their diploma at 12:00 pm in the Auditorium of the Town Hall.
In the evening, at 20:00 pm, will take place in the Plaza de Toros de "La Cartuja" great "Bullfighting Flamenca", the long awaited new release of this 54th Festival del Cante de las Minas.
The matador Javier Conde Bulls will deal three Murube livestock, while Estrella Morente artists, his wife, and Archangel will sing several flamenco pieces.

Also Wednesday begins the first phase of the competitions the 54th International Festival del Cante de las Minas, which will continue on 14 and 15 from 22:00 at the Cathedral of Cante.
In total, twenty-eight participants who will demonstrate their art all over these three days looking for a place in the final on 10 August.
Among the applicants are fifteen singers, three guitarists six dancers and four Flemish musicians competing for trophies in four categories: Mining Lamp (cante), Bordon Miner (guitar), Desplante (dance) and Philo (Flemish instrumentalist).
Thus, in the first semifinal act a total of ten contestants among which are six singers, a guitarist, two dancers and a flamenco performer.
