This past July was the sixth consecutive month that unemployment has decreased in our town, and with more than 700 residents who have found jobs so far this year.
Compared with the same month last year, unemployment has fallen from 222 people, representing a decrease of 8.08%.
The Department of Economic Development and Employment, headed by Councilman Antonio Liarte, is well aware that these figures have to be improved month after month, and therefore are promoting various initiatives to ensure that citizens can find work.
On the one hand, they are doing throughout the year courses to train our citizens the necessary training to enter the labor market, based, mostly, on new technologies.
It has also created a database in which the curriculum will make us arrive, giving stakeholders the necessary information so that they can personally send them to the companies that are being installed in our town, besides the necessary advice to join the preparation thereof.
And also it is conducting a participatory advice to those entrepreneurs seeking aid and requirements for starting their business, and also boasts a business transfer system for our town.
