The Union, July 25, 1014 -. This afternoon has closed, with great success, the fourth edition of the University Congress of Flamenco and Spanish Dance, which has been developed throughout the week within the official program of the International Chair Flamencology Foundation of Cante de las Minas and the Catholic University of Murcia (UCAM).
Since Monday, students received intensive training: in the morning, with practical workshops on choreography and technique of flamenco dancing by Taranto;
and evenings, lectures, visits and roundtables on current issues in the world of Spanish dance.
The Fourth Congress of Flamenco and Spanish Dance is the first to be held within the Flamencology with university endorsement of the UCAM and the international prestige of the Foundation Cante de las Minas.
In the closing ceremony the CEO Foundation Cante de las Minas and La Union Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the Dean of the Faculty of Sport of the UCAM, Pato Antonio Sánchez, and the director of the Congress, the dancer and participated choreographer Marcos Flores, National Award for Flamenco dancing.
Francisco Bernabé has stressed the importance of education in the world of flamenco is consolidated at university level, thus giving a maximum academic teaching imparted by this Chair range.
Meanwhile, the Dean of the Faculty of Sport of the UCAM, Antonio Sanchez Pato, has made a very positive assessment of Congress, highlighting the success of call that have been assumed Marcos Flores, a benchmark as a dancer and choreographer.
The Dean has also qualified unbeatable tuning between the University and the Foundation Cante de las Minas.
Finally, the dancer Marcos Flores, responsible for delivering classes during these five days, was also very pleased about how Congress has passed.
Marcos Flores has highlighted the high level of all students, and great attitude to get the most of the time.
All have received their diplomas from the hands of the authorities present at the ceremony.
