The Cante de las Minas Foundation has announced the winners of the "Trophies Pencho Cros" under the XV International Cultural Convocation awards to be delivered to coincide with the celebration of the 54th edition of the Festival unionense.
These trophies reward certain activities with the aim to promote and encourage the development of International Festival del Cante de las Minas, addressing relevant aspects of La Union, the Festival itself, miners or cante flamenco in general.
Thus, the ratio of winners in 2014 is configured as follows in accordance with the unanimous agreement within the Board of Trustees:
JOURNALISM AWARD: To the "Telediarios" from Spanish TV.
They are the reference information for the audience in all editions.
Year after year, Telediarios have always picked last hour of the Festival del Cante de las Minas.
Interviews with the players, with summaries of galas and competitions, spreading the word flamenco mining the four cardinal points.
DINING AWARD: A José Rodríguez Rey, Michelin Star restaurant "El Bohio" Illescas, Toledo.

PATRONAGE AWARD: To the San Antonio Catholic University of Murcia, UCAM.

These are two of the most important festivals and major national and international recognition of our region, and this award aims to reward excellent outreach and promotion of music in general, and flamenco in particular.
