The Old Public Market The Union will host the 4th to 7th June four regional productions in the National Theatre Festival XIV 'José Baeza Clemares', said today the director of the Institute for Cultural Industries and Arts, Marta López Briones, which, together with the Mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, presented in the Ministry of Education, Culture and Universities programming this cultural event for all ages and free entry to the four performances.
On Wednesday, June 4, opens the festival theater group 'Algameca' (Cartagena) with the work 'Toys Wind', adapted and directed by Leo Andreu.
Thursday is the turn of 'Front Row, please' (Archena), producing 'But ... you do not escarmientas?' Jose Garrido Molina directed by Victoria Gomez Solana.
On Friday, the Old Public Market The Union will host the theater group 'La Cortija' (Moratalla), directed by José Rogelio Fernández Lozano.
On Saturday the closing and award ceremony of the event, which also will feature performances of 'Portman Theatre' and the play 'The fisherman boat without' by Alejandro Casona, adapted and directed by Ana Barceló be performed.
All performances will take place at 22:00 pm, with free admission with limited capacity.
The Director General and the Mayor highlighted the anticipated benefit initiatives like this that allow amateur theater groups in the region to showcase their work, and the public meet new proposals and close the theater in a unique and singular stage as the Old Public Market La Union.
