This morning the Official Gazette published the announcement of the public tender under which the administrative concession that will allow to carry out the environmental regeneration of Portman Bay showing to be possible by the extraction and Tenders sale of iron ore buried there between sterile, which will be the private sector to assume the full cost of the work.
The competition provides that the firm produced awarded the same shall implement the project approved by the Ministry in 2011 not later than 3 years from the start of construction.
Also provides for the possibility that the contractor may request the extension of dredging to complete the removal of all sterile deposited in the bay, in which case the necessary and preliminary environmental approvals, the execution time of the work could be extended for another seven years to a total of ten.
From this moment the undertakings concerned have a period of twenty working days to submit their bids to the Ministry of Environment.
The intention of the Minister Arias Cañete, as already announced last week, is that this summer the competition is resolved and that the company is elected to start work for the end of this year.
