The Hall of the Faculty of Business at the Polytechnic University of Cartagena received yesterday afternoon the Conference "Valuing the municipality of La Union as a tourist destination," which was delivered by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé.
The event took place within the cycle of conferences promoted by the Forum for the Economy and Society, part of the Campus of International Excellence Mare Nostrum, which coordinates Durendez Antonio, Dean of the Faculty of Business.
Barnabas The paper highlighted the important and positive transformation experienced tourism in La Union over recent years, thanks to the enhancement of the industrial heritage of the town was made through the Mining Park and new museums, as well as the empowerment of all attractions linked by flamenco Cante de las Minas.
Finally, the Mayor also alluded to future sustainable and high-quality tourism project that will develop after regeneration in Portman Bay and in which are deposited the hopes for the future of the village.
