Previously the square was designed with central hydraulic tile paved spaces and flower beds with stone hillock formed for the trees.
The beds were not treated simply being in natural soil, and due to bad use of them, had become "quasi" landfills.
In response, the Department of Infrastructure has proceeded to clean up these beds, and thus the entire square with the following actions:
Comprehensive Cleaning parterres of eliminating all the debris.
-Set aside for leveling the parterres.
-Compaction of land to prepare for the final surface.
-Concreting of mass concrete beds with HM-10 / B / Ia an average thickness of 10-12 cm, level and talochado.
-Discharge of protection and toning slurry surface in green.
After these actions have achieved the twin objectives of improving the aesthetics of the Plaza del Callao and eliminate surface discharge and storage of waste due to the misuse of public spaces.
