The Ministry of Presidency, through the Directorate General of Public Safety and Emergency, 300,000 euros intended to promote public safety in the town of La Union's aid to the Regional Public Safety Plan and Plan Monitoring and Rescue Beaches and Rescue at Sea Region of Murcia (Ballad Plan).
The presidential adviser, Manuel Campos, today provided this information to the mayor of La Union, Francisco Bernabé, during a meeting at the Palacio San Esteban, which treated various issues of interest to the municipality concerning public safety, local police , domestic violence, children and environment, among others.
The budgets of the Presidential 2014 corresponding to contemplate a City of La Union 300,000 euros, intended to cover the Regional Public Safety Plan grant.
In this sense, Campos said that the town has 10 effective local police to implement the Plan in La Union, which since its launch in 2006, has received a total amount of 2,060,651 euros.
The 10 troops as part of Special Public Safety Unit of La Union conducted 620 services in the town in 2012, with more than 4,900 hours of service and 26,000 miles traveled, which ended in 505 interventions, 313 offenses and 180 administrative offenses.
Similarly, the Minister informed the mayor that his Department allocated 503,756 euros to Ballad Plan, which involved the unionense town, keeping the investment effort that the regional government has done in previous years.
During the meeting the works undertaken in the town as a result of the investment made by the Ministry of the Presidency in the last five years, which exceeded two million euros has been reviewed and is intended for a wide range of improvement works services and infrastructure construction in La Union.
Among them, the semipeatonización and accessibility of historic La Union, the pedestrian walkway on Portman, the adequacy of the swimming pool environment, the square and remodeling La Palma Avenue Sierra Minera.

On the other hand, subsidies in kind provided by the Department aimed at municipalities, that will provide municipal services adequate means for improving street cleaning and waste collection were addressed and to promote public awareness in environmental protection.
In this line, the mayor moved the counselor needs of the municipality of La Union to improve street cleaning and waste collection in the city.
Environmental key regeneration project Portman Bay was also analyzed, in order to continue working jointly between the City, the Community and the central government in the different phases of the project and coordinate stages.
