The Board of Local Government of the City of La Union has agreed the award of public tenders called for procurement of insurance policies that have subscribed to the municipality and has promoted the Department of Interior directed by María Dolores Barrionuevo.
Specifically, has been awarded to insurance against civil liability of the City Council and the company Zurich worth 20,000 euros, representing a saving of over 50% from the amount of the prior policy that the City had maintained.
Similarly, we have proceeded to adjudicate property damage insurance company prior to AXA worth 8,330 euros, implying a savings of 20% with the previously existing.
Award are pending insurance vehicle fleet and collective accident insurance, being in process of contracting with insurance companies and will, according to the existing provisions, a new added savings of 25% for municipal coffers, plus a significant and beneficial increase in benefits offered on all policies.
As pointed out by our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the intention of all these actions, like other already made on the same line, is to fully optimize financial resources available and get the highest possible savings for onward destination to social purposes.
