The Governing Council of the Region of Murcia has approved at its last meeting the Statement of Cultural Interest (BIC), with Category Monument to the Church of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, located in La Union.
The Temple, finished building in 1902, has a Latin cross plan with ambulatory, having a cathedral interior structure consisting of a nave and two aisles with chapels.
The building was designed by architect Justo Millán and inside, characterized by austerity decorative carvings include the Virgin of the Rosary, Patron of the town, and the Christ of the Miners, Head of Holy Week and the rest Size of the Passion Week.
On the outside emphasize their drum dome over the transept and its bell tower, both coated with striking blue tiles.
The record for BIC Declaration was launched last year at the urging of the government team and it assumes that all Religious movable heritage that is part of the consideration that also holds.
