The Governing Council approved the declaration of Cultural Interest (BIC), Monument category, for the church of Rosario, La Union.
It is a temple with a Latin cross with an ambulatory, conducted in early twentieth century.
The structure forms a monumental interior space, consisting of a nave and two side chapels.
Among its assets imaginero highlight the Virgen del Rosario, patron of the town and work of ciezano Juan Manuel Carrillo, the popular Miners Christ, the work of Valencia José Jerique in 1913, and the images of Holy Week in La Union.
The building, designed by architect Justo Millán Espinosa, is made with decorative austerity.
Thus, outside the dome on a drum highlights on the cruise, now lined with striking blue tiles, and its bell tower, topped by pinnacles, contained in the core of the facade.
