The Water Directorate of the Autonomous Community has already made the environmental report on the new treatment plant planned for Portman, having been forwarded the same to the Directorate General for the Environment to proceed with processing.
So it has confirmed the Minister of Agriculture and Water of Murcia, Antonio Cerdá, our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, in the course of the meeting that both have held to discuss this matter.
Once completed this procedure, one is to develop the project to build this infrastructure, which will be located next to the N-345, near the corner of the Place of the Cola del Caballo.
The new plant will have a tertiary cycle and have capacity to treat wastewater from a population around 4,000 people, there the expectation that the work can be bid during the first half of 2014.
