After the statements made a few days ago by the Minister of the Environment, Miguel Arias Cañete, which confirmed that the procedures are being finalized for bidding out the administrative concession that will allow comprehensive environmental regeneration Portman Bay, is has occurred this morning in Murcia a new meeting of the Monitoring Committee of the regional strategic project.
The meeting was attended by the Autonomous Community the Director General for Economic and Strategic Projects, Luis Martínez de Salas of Mines, Pedro Jimenez, Environment, Amador Lopez of Tourism, Enrique Ujaldón, Spatial Planning and Housing, Yolanda Muñoz, and the deputy director of the Directorate General of Transport and Ports.
Representing the Ministry has turned the head of the Coastal, Andres Martinez, and by the municipality of La Union have turned our Mayor and Deputy Mayor, Francisco Bernabé and Carlos Martinez, respectively.
The meeting served to discuss the latest developments regarding this project, and to coordinate the next steps are to give from the Regional Administration and from the municipalities of Cartagena and La Union once the works are tendered by the Ministry.
In the words of Francisco Bernabé "we are in the final stages of this process and it is time to work hard for everything to be perfectly coordinated and finalized by all parties involved, as are several legal steps that must be taken in the face of everything developed to perfection ".
