The mayors of the municipality of La Union Murcia, Francisco Bernabé, and the municipality Castellon Almazora, Vincent Casanova, have held a working meeting in which pooling different issues in their respective localities.
On the one hand, and since both municipalities are part of the National Environment Commission of the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces, have been discussed in the meeting various issues concerning the improvement of municipal waste collected and recycling, air quality and refurbishing parks and public gardens.
On the other hand, also have exchanged knowledge and experiences on the respective tourist attractions that currently enjoy and Almazora Union and that are becoming role models in both the Region of Murcia and in the Valencian Community, respectively.
Besides all these considerations, the two mayors have also affected the future importance of the new locally Sector Plan Nature Tourism and Biodiversity 2013-2020, currently under analysis by the Spanish Federation of Municipalities and Provinces.
The first two councilors were satisfied of the result of this common work first meeting and expressed their commitment to continue working together, via exchange of experiences and knowledge for the advancement of both populations.
