The Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, has confirmed our Mayor, Francisco Bernabé, the firm commitment of the department to continue to support the international promotion undertaken in relation to the attractions that the Union in general and the Cante de las Minas special offer.
The meeting, which was also attended by the Deputy Mayor of the Presidency, Carlos Martinez, has served to confirm the excellent results at tourist promotional generated during the past few months the draft Mines and Flamenco Tour events held in India, Brussels and Luxembourg.
In this regard, the Secretary of State for Tourism has stressed the importance of Turespaña, as tourist emblem Brand Spain, to continue its promotional activities this coming year with Flamenco and Cante de las Minas as banners, taking special interest in to develop the same in Asian and Europe likely to generate large flows of tourists to Spain and the Region of Murcia.
Barnabas has welcomed this commitment, because it only confirms the extraordinary projection that our festival has acquired over the years and in 2013 has generated a total of 1974 news worldwide, reaching more of 70 million people, all historical figures and record.
